A research on how we could give neighborhoods with typical panel houses a fresher look. A good solution, in our opinion, would be pots of flowers on every balcony. And, of course, no patchy glazing. As well as improving appearance, there are other tangible benefits. The research was based on AI data.
The Upper and Lower City Gardens are romantically abandoned green areas of the city. The parade avenue of the Lower Park with the monument to Esenin reminds of the parade gardens in old Russian manors. The network of pedestrian paths was largely formed naturally and is a little confused, reminiscent of a wild garden. These gardens have an identity that needs to be emphasized, restored and the environment made safer. In order to preserve the existing large trees, it was decided to minimally intrude into the existing path network....
The main technique for shaping the image of the gardens is landscaping. Each alley is planted with shrubs of a particular color. The park has a White Alley, a Pink Alley, a Yellow Alley, a Red Alley and a Lilac Alley.
Since we associate our project with an old Russian manor house, we can adopt its features to some extent. One of the peculiarities of the manor territory was the division into a lordly part and a peasant part. In this case, the Upper Garden with its grand avenues became more lordly, and the Lower Garden with its more picturesque slopes and ravines became more peasant. But at the same time the gardens are not broken up into two separate parts by repeating the techniques inherent in one of the parts in the other. The basic principle of working with existing park elements is to preserve what can be preserved and replace non-restorable elements with the most modern and technologically advanced ones possible. This principle was used in work with pavements, street furniture, small forms, and lighting.
The residential environment encourages people to lead a healthy lifestyle.
All necessary infrastructure is located within walking distance, so the use of private cars is not required. People are expected to travel on foot, or by electric shuttles or electric golf carts. Automatic parking for 1,500 cars is provided at the entrance for the storage of private cars.
The general plan of the site is oriented towards the river, with the main transportation routes running through the whole cluster from south to north, arriving at a large public promenade with slopes to the river.
The shape of the urban plan is square-lattice.
Realization that by coming to build our living environment we are destroying the existing natural environment.
Compensation for the destroyed natural environment can be realized by greening roofs. Minimization of intrusion is realized by minimizing the building area. This can be achieved by proper density of residential buildings, automatic parking of private cars, selection of permeable sidewalks for pedestrian paths. In addition, it is necessary to minimize the consumption of external resources, including electricity. The planning solutions of apartments allow for less electricity consumption due to the shallow depth of the housing, which allows natural light to illuminate the maximum area of the apartment.
The ability to age beautifully.
A system that can maintain its order on its own, without the need for constant human care, time and resources, is more sensible, durable and environmentally friendly.
Natural materials and textures used in finishing have the ability to age beautifully and therefore will last for a long time without requiring a lot of maintenance or replacement.
The facades of the residential buildings are clad with wooden planks taken from the deteriorating houses of neighboring villages.
